Colorado Channel Viewership

Since starting collecting analytics data January 2011, ColoradoChannel.net has seen a continued and dramatic increase in viewership.  The Open Media Foundation moved the State Legislature to the OMF’s Open Media Project platform just prior to the 2013 session.  This switch, using YouTube Live streaming, and leveraging YouTube’s ability to be widely accessed, has made watching the live floor sessions more accessible.  Easier access means more Coloradans can see their state government at work.

After averaging 2,250 visitors per month in 2011 and 3,500/month in 2012, ColoradoChannel.net saw a drastic 137% increase in the number of unique visitors per month during the 2013 session, averaging 8,376 during the session.

We’re looking forward to not only continuing to give the people of Colorado a front row seat to their state government, but continually improving how we do it!
